Saturday 19th – Hargrave Parish Church (all events)

11am             CHILDREN’S CONCERT – a free, “come-and-play” concert for children of all ages and standards.

If your child is learning an instrument and would like to perform a favourite piece at the Festival, please sign them up for this event – we will provide an experienced accompanist and an audience!

3pm              LUTE AND VOICE RECITAL  Alexandra Gibson (mezzo-soprano) & David Miller (lute/theorbo)

A recital of renaissance and baroque music for lute, theorbo and solo voice with two of the UK’s most sought-after early music specialistsrecitalist and recording artist David Miller (I Fagiolini, The Sixteen) and singer Alexandra Gibson, who has sung across the UK and Europe under the baton of leading early music conductors, such as Trevor Pinnock, Harry Christophers, Laurence Cummings and John Butt

An evening of highlights from the world of opera, song and music theatre with soloists who have performed on the UK and Europe’s greatest stages (Royal Opera House, English National Opera, La Scala, Milan, Théâtre du Chatelet, Paris, Scottish Opera, Opera North and Glyndebourne)

Sunday 20th – Hargrave Parish Church (all events)

11am            SUNG SERVICE – Festival performers gather for a sung Eucharist at the Parish Church

3pm              VIOLIN RECITAL – Joo Yeon Sir (violin)

Winner of the prestigious Arts Club Classical Music Award 2014 (in association with Classic FM), rising star violinist and composer Joo Yeon Sir plays a programme of music by J.S.Bach and Kreisler, as well as one of her own compositions
